General Insurance Information
SILVERRENT BOOKING CONFIRMATION:
At the end of your booking process, you will find the "BOOKING CONFIRMATION” page where your booking number will be highlighted.
An email will be sent to you with your booking details. Please print it and present it to SilverRent when collecting the vehicle.
BOOKING DETAILS:
Booking Date:
You can make your reservation for the same day up to 2 hours before picking up the vehicle.
You can make your reservation up to 12 months in advance of the vehicle pick-up date.
Minimum duration:
the minimum rental duration is 1 day (24 hours);
the vehicle pick-up and return period are included within these 24 hours;
rentals of less than 24 hours will be applied at the full 1-day rate;
RATES:
Your booking quotes include the following points:
VAT at the legal rate in force;
Unlimited mileage;
Airport tax;
Circulation tax;
Third party insurance;
Deductible reduction insurance (CDW);
The value presented in the reservation as the maximum excess indicates the customer's responsibility in the event of an accident, damage or theft of the vehicle. The list of products included is printed on the reservation. Rates are guaranteed once the reservation is confirmed.
ADDITIONAL EXTRAS:
Additional driver - if you wish to include one or more additional drivers in your rental, a service fee will apply, as can be seen on the website.
Young Driver - see under "SERVICES”
Airport tax - may be applied depending on airport requirements;
Additional equipment - see under "SERVICES”;
"Out of Hours” Service – if you pick up or return the vehicle outside normal opening hours – from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm – a service fee will be applied;
Option to purchase Fuel Tank;
Damage and theft of the vehicle - the customer is responsible up to the limit of the deductible if accepting CDW, otherwise he is responsible up to the total value of the vehicle.
PAYMENT / PAYMENT METHODS / DEPOSITS:
a) Payment
"Book and pay now" – when confirming the reservation, the amount must be paid for it to be confirmed.
b) Payment Methods
Payments can be made via credit cards:
–"Mastercard" and "Visa"
Notice: credit card payments are made in accordance with the limits authorized by the card issuer;
The credit card holder must be the same as the one on the reservation and the rental contract; The driver must always present the credit card when collecting the car.
c) Deposits
When confirming or changing the reservation, SilverRent calculates the authorization amount to be requested from the credit card or any amount constitutes a security deposit. This value allows SilverRent to guarantee the final rental value so that this authorization is requested when the vehicle is delivered.
Warning: the deposit amount is equivalent to the vehicle value and/or the estimated rental value. The deposit will remain captive for the duration of the rental.
The deposit amount is expressly mentioned in the rental contract.
When returning the vehicle, if the amount to be paid is greater than that of the authorization, a new additional charge will be made.
Subsequent credit card debts relating to tolls, traffic fines handling services and undisclosed damages are authorized by the credit card holder.
RESERVATION CHANGES: (CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS)
The customer can modify or cancel their reservation online after it is confirmed. Any changes must be made up to 24 hours before the date/time of vehicle collection. To do this, an email must be sent to: geral@silverrent.pt

RESERVATION GUARANTEE:
SilverRent guarantees delivery of the reserved car group subject to the customer complying with the required legal requirements. In the event that the car group is not available, an alternative solution will be presented with the price guarantee quoted at booking.
RESERVATION GUARANTEE TIME:
SilverRent guarantees the customer's reservation up to one hour after the time indicated in the reservation.
SilverRent will use its best efforts to provide a vehicle after this warranty period. The reservation will be considered "no show” after the station closing time. In case of delay longer than stipulated, SilverRent will try to find an alternative solution. New rates may be applied in this case.
RESERVATION PERIOD GUARANTEE:
In cases where the customer indicates their credit card as a guarantee in the reservation, SilverRent guarantees the reserved vehicle until closing time that day or until 12 noon the following day. If the customer does not show up to collect the vehicle, a "no show” fee will be applied.
FLIGHT DELAYS:
Reservations are guaranteed within 1 hour of arrival of the indicated flight. In the case where you see
